HOW WILL THE NEW CHANGE AFFECT MY AMTEL SYSTEM?

HOW CAN I CHANGE MY TIME?


This year, Daylight Savings Time (DST) will be extended by approximately four weeks. In compliance with the Energy Policy Act of 2005, DST dates will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the 2nd Sunday in March - 3/11/07) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the 1st Sunday in November - 11/4/07).

It is easy to change the time on your Amtel system. We will walk you through changing the time step-by-step below.

However, before changing your time DL801 Keyboards need to have the DST (Daylight Savings Time) setting turned to "OFF. Look on the bottom of your unit for the model number. If your Keyboard indicates "Model 801, follow these steps now:

1. Press the SET UP key.
2. Press the BACKSPACE key.
3. Press the SPACEBAR twice. Your screen should display "SET AUTO-DST ADJUSTMENT ON". (If your unit does not display this setting continue to the next item below).
4. Press the BACKSPACE key to set the option to "OFF".
5. Press SEND to save the setting.

Now, let's begin to change the time. You will need to find your "CENTRAL TIMEKEEPER. Updating the Central Timekeeper unit will update the time on all other units. At a Keyboard unit:

1. Press the SET UP key.
2. Press the number 7 key. Your screen should display "SET TIME KEEPING CENTRAL" or "SET TIME KEEPING LOCAL" If it displays "SET TIMEKEEPING LOCAL", you cannot change the time from this Keyboard. Using the same steps above, find another Keyboard in your office, which does display "CENTRAL".

Once you have located the "CENTRAL TIMKEEPER" or "LOCAL TIMEKEEPING", follow the steps below:

1. Press the SET UP key.
2. Press the number 0 (zero) key. Your screen should display "SET TIME/DATE".
3. Type your correct time. IMPORTANT: make sure your AM/PM is correct.
4. Press SEND to save the setting.
